Route through the city’s oil factories

Olive oil – liquid gold – has always been closely linked to the Andalusian countryside. Touring certain areas of Andalusia is navigating endless seas of olive trees. In addition to being a powerful economic engine for the region, it is a delicacy that transcends the merely culinary to reach the cultural field; olive oil is part of the DNA of Andalusia.

If you are passionate about responsible tourism and want to experience the sensations of rural life, with its slow times and its ways of making artisans, surely you have heard of oleotourism.

In Antequera, we offer you two places where you can enjoy this wonderful experience.

Picking up the olive tradition of the region of Antequera, where the olive grove is the main economic activity, Dccop -located in our municipality- decided to pay tribute to the culture of oil in these lands, through the creation of the Dcoop Museum.
