The Museum also has the Permanent Rooms “Cosmovision of the Dolmens of Antequera”, an exhibition that describes the main values that led to its declaration as a World Heritage Site and that is completed with photographs of Javier Coca and the bust of the scientist Michael Hoskin; and “Hermanos Viera Fuentes”, in which you can visualize the importance of the Dolmen of Viera and the Tholos of El Romeral and in which the old gates that were in the three megalithic monuments that make up the archaeological complex are musealized: Menga, Viera and the Tholos of El Romeral.
A basement floor in which the Temporary Exhibition Hall “Muñoz Rojas” is located, in which exhibitions linked to contemporary artistic creation related to nature and landscape will be programmed; the Documentation Centre and Virtual Library of the Prehistory of Andalusia “Antonio Arribas Palau”; the “Luis Siret” Classroom and various areas.
The Museum starts with these two temporary exhibitions: one that addresses the figure of the researcher Manuel Gómez-Moreno, whose work was fundamental in the enhancement of the Dolmens, and another entitled “The things of the field. The artistic energy of the mystery of landscape”, in clear reference to the illustrious poet from Antequera and Favorite Son of Andalusia, José Antonio Muñoz Rojas, whose work reflects the landscape of this land, with photographs by Raúl Pérez and other artists.
