On July 16 it will be the turn of Danzad Malditas, a project also born in Malaga with a scenic and playful approach. Inspired by the swing of the 30s and 40s, they fuse music and theatricality in each performance, with a proposal that invites you to dance and smile. The group is made up of musicians such as Carlos Moratalla (double bass), Martina Mollo (piano), Adri Jiménez (drums), Jaime Fernández (trombone, guitar, voice), Víctor García (sax, voice) and Estefanía Alpresa herself on vocals.
On July 17, the cycle will close with Wasabi Cru, a band from Malaga that has evolved from covers to the creation of their own songs within styles such as jazz, funk, soul and neosoul. Recognized with awards such as the Málaga Crea Rock 2021, their first album,
Both Ana Cebrián and José Escalante agreed that the MVCA is not only an exhibition space, but also a living stage for creation and culture, and that Nájera Jazz represents a perfect example of this multidisciplinary vocation. “Music is also part of art, and this festival is a way to invite the public to experience the museum in a different way, in a heritage environment and under the summer sky,” concluded Escalante.
The Nájera Jazz 2025 is thus consolidated as an essential proposal for July nights in Antequera, uniting heritage, music and atmosphere in an unparalleled enclave such as the courtyard of the municipal museum.
