Almost thirty establishments, both in our municipality and in neighboring towns, come together to offer the best of the cuisine of the area in what is a new initiative that tries to support the candidacy of Antequera as Gastronomic Capital. This paired route is carried out in collaboration with Bodegas Barbadillo and its distributor Exclusivas Sánchez Garrido.
It is a route of paired culinary experiences that has the special participation of Bodegas Barbadillo and its distributor in the area, Exclusivas Sánchez-Garrido. In this way, the participating establishments have made a great effort to recover traditional autumn recipes. Some have chosen to be respectful of the original preparations and others to provide a touch of innovation, with this year’s star products being mushrooms, chestnuts, the first oranges of the season, game meat (mainly rabbit) or crumbs, among others.
The objective of this event is to “extol the gastronomy and native products of Antequera”, praising the fact that “bars and restaurants are always willing to participate in these activities, and in fact our city has exceptional establishments, products and recipes”. To do this, one of the best times of the year for our city is taken advantage of, such as the arrival of autumn as a prelude to winter, “this being a special moment with a unique cuisine that serves as a reason for those of us who live here to visit our restaurants and inns again, as well as an excellent tourist attraction for those who visit us”.
