Organized by: Area for the Promotion of Flamenco
Collaboration: Panda de Verdiales San Gabriel de la Joya

These sessions, completely free, will involve the recovery of the old Verdiales School that actively operated in La Joya since the 90s and for several years contributed decisively to the transmission of this cultural expression so characteristic of the province of Malaga.

The classes will take place from September 5 to December 19 in the Multipurpose Building of La Joya and will be held on alternate Fridays, offering two different schedules depending on age: from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for children and from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for adults.

The formation will include playing, singing and dancing within the Almogía style, one of the three main ones that make up the Verdiales. The objective of this initiative is to keep alive this tradition, considered the germ of flamenco in Malaga, and to contribute to its knowledge, dissemination and enhancement as a manifestation in which party, history, music, dance and culture are intertwined.
