In order to complement “The Textile Industry in Antequera” Permanent Exhibition, it is also offered the possibility of visiting the three walking routes which have been designed to get to know the history, the facts and the factories which were installed in the “Villa” bed river as it flows through the former factory centre, “El Henchidero”. This Centre has been preserved and, after a restoration, is used as a Educational Complex.
There are information panels along the routes which have been designed by the students from the “Desigñ Asistencia” Employment Workshop Graphic Design together with the student from the module of “Garden Infrastructure”.
These activities are another resource to contribute to the preservation, promotion and diffusion of our historical and cultural heritage in Antequera and its borough. Likewise, it is a touristic offer for the people who visit our town besides being used as an educational activity for the school children.
