Antequera Town Hall Tourism Department. This is the name given to the space in front of the Collegiate with the same name. The access is through the stairs located at the Colegio street, or through the Arco de los Gigantes (Arch of the Giants) and the so-called Plaza de los Escribanos (Square of the Scribes). The most outstanding element in this square is the sculpture depicting Pedro Espinosa, a work by José Manuel Patricio Toro which was inaugurated by Their Majesties the Monarchs when they visited the town in 1998. Spectacular are the views from this square to the Santa María’s Roman Thermae, to the La Villa River and to the lateral side of the El Carmen church.
