In the Holy Tuesday’s evening, it leaves in procession from the convent church of La Trinidad one of the images of Jesus most worshipped by the Antequera population from ever: Our Padre Jesús del Rescate (Jesus Father of the Rescue), even though the original carving was lost in a fire which took place in this church in 1935. Many are the people devoted to this image, among them the women wearing the traditional mantilla who, that day, go behind the Lord with candles through the street of the town. They also accompany the Virgin of Piedad (Piety), the other image that goes in procession on the Holy Tuesday. Usually, there always is (Jesus Father of the Rescuesomebody who sings saetas (literally, arrows, as they are devotional songs which go straight into the heart).
